Today, on January 15, Metsatöll releases their new online single and video Only Bravery – the first off their fourth album Äio, recorded in cooperation with Spinefarm Records, the Finnish subsidiary of the international record company Universal, due to be released on March 3 in Baltics and Finland. In other countries, the album will be released over the course of March.

Starting from today, the limited digipak-version of Äio is available for pre-order. Only 2000 copies will be released. The three-fold digipak contains an hour-long CD with 14 brand new tracks, a 16-page booklet of lyrics, a poster and a postcard signed by the band. The album can be pre-ordered from the band’s homepage www.metsatoll.ee as well as from the international internet store www.fanzone.fi.

The new video for Only Bravery can be downloaded from the band’s homepage. „We had the idea for this video already in 2004, when for the first time we asked the legendary Estonian artist Jüri Arrak for a cover image for our album,“ says Metsatöll’s singer and guitarist Markus Teeäär. The drummer Marko Atso adds: „The animated film „Suur Tõll“ had an impact on all of us already in our early childhood. But until now, we simply did not have a proper song to go with this wonderful animation.“

The video makes use of the animation „Suur Tõll“, based on an Estonian heroic folk tale, created by Tallinnfilm in 1980, with artwork by Jüri Arrak, written and directed by Rein Raamat. Recording and montage of contemporary sequences by Villem Tarvas.

In addition, Metsatöll is pleased to announce that starting from now, the band’s shows outside Estonia and Finland will be arranged by the German management agency ICS Festival Service GMBH. „We are in good company, as ICS also manages such bands as Saxon, Trouble, Doro, Girlschool, Overkill, Sacred Reich, Maroon and many others,“ says Marko Atso. „We will be giving our best, to be worthy of this agency.“
