This August marks the 90th anniversary of Veljo Tormis (1930 - 2017), one of Estonia's most unique composers.

On the evening of August 8, the Estonian National Male Choir (RAM), Tormis Quartet, Metsatöll and several Estonian traditional singers of regilaul will gather on the Viljandi Song Festival Grounds to celebrate this significant event. There will be a concert focusing on the work of Veljo Tormis. The concert will also feature Estonian folk songs, which were the strong basis of Tormis' work.
